Ohio Voters Switching to GOP

The Columbus Dispatch reports that Democrats switching to the Republican party outnumbered Republicans switching to the Democratic party by about 7-to-1 as of Tuesday in Cuyahoga County, which includes Cleveland. In 2008, the figures favored Democrats 5-to-1.

In Hamilton County, which includes Cincinnati, about 9 times as many Democrats have switched parties.

Good Night for GOP and Conservatives

The elections went well yesterday, as positions were wrestled away from Democrats, and the people let Obama know that they were unsatisfied with the direction his administration is going. Bob McDonnell, a Conservative Republican, won the state of Virginia's Gubernatorial race, by 18%.

In New Jersey, Republican Chris Christie won by 5%.

In New York's 23rd district, Conservative Party Candidate Doug Hoffman, was able to force the liberal RINO, Dierdre Scozzafava, out of the race. He probably would have won too, if it weren't for the 100,000 + morons that voted for her, even though she was no longer running. Even though Owens beat out Hoffman, it sent a strong message to the GOP, letting them know we won't elect RINOs, we want conservatives.

Republican (if you can call him that) Michael Bloomberg won NYC's mayoral race, after putting up $100 million of his personal wealth.

And perhaps most significant, Maine became the 31st state to ban gay marriage. Yay! Take that, sodomizers.

Despite the media reporting that the Dems are in trouble, Pelosi and Obama seem to be ignoring the election results, and continuing their push to make America a socialist country.

Scozzafava is a Tool

So Dede Scozzafava bowed out of the Upstate New York congressional race on Saturday. Apparently her good looks just weren't enough.

She claims her reason for dropping out was:

"In recent days, polls have indicated that my chances of winning this election are not as strong as we would like them to be. The reality that I've come to accept is that in today's political arena, you must be able to back up your message with money—and as I've been outspent on both sides, I've been unable to effectively address many of the charges that have been made about my record,” she said in a statement.

Oh, sure, it was the money wasn't it? You baby killing, gay marriage lovin' RINO? No, the fact is, Scozzafava was absolutely no different than Owens, her democratic opponent. That's why it was so easy for the Conservative Party to oust her from the race. Given her liberal views, it is very unsurprising that she is giving her support to Owens, and not the conservative candidate.

The GOP is trying to grab on to some of this momentum, claiming they can use it to their advantage in ousting Obama, and gaining seats in the House. Problem is, it isn't true. This isn't their movement, it is ours, the people, the conservatives of this country. What they still don't realize is, they will actually end up losing more seats, if they don't start proffering up some conservative candidates. Conservatives are going to continue to put up their own candidates, and that is going to mean a split vote among Republican voters. With Republicans losing half, or more, of their votes, they are doomed to become an even larger minority. How can they prevent this? How can they take advantage of the conservative movement? They can go back to being a conservative party by giving us conservative candidates. Conservatives are giving the GOP a choice: go conservative, or go away.

Call Your Representatives on the Health Care Bill

So the new health bill is out, and it is a 1900 page piece of crap. Our good friend Mica sent over a spreadsheet with the contact info for all representatives, as well as local zipcodes and addresses of the local offices that you can use, when filling out e-mail to the representatives (as many of the e-mail forms require a local address). Anyway, if we can flood these senators and congressman with our e-mail and phone calls, we can convince these "blue dogs" to vote against the legislation.

How hard is this to understand???

OK, it's been WAY too long since I have posted here, so thanks to Valerie and her comments on my comments on this post to inspire me to drag myself in....

Apparently I struck a nerve when I called hussein the Obamoron. But I figure after having to endure 8 years of the radical left wing moonbat lunatics hurling insult after insult at Dubya, well, if it's OK for them then it would be OK for us too. But apparently not so, the vile hypocrisy so prevalent in the current Communist administration seems to extend itself to the supporters of the worst president the country has ever seen. And what amazes me is that while day by day, the Democrats continue their onslaught to dismantle this great country the moonbats continue their march toward Utopia, blindly unaware of the consequences of the actions of the *expletive deleted*s they were not only stupid enough to believe, but managed to elect.

Anyway, on to the point of today's post.... With the shambles of the economy he has managed to create, Obamoron really has substantially better things to be doing with his time than trying to take over the jobs of parents. It is NOT the presidents job to tell kids to stay in school. Keep in mind, Valerie, I am using "you" and "your" in the plural sense.... It is YOUR job, as a parent, to raise your children and teach them to go to school, assume responsibility for their actions and become productive members of society. So by thinking that hussein needs to be in charge of raising your kids, you showing not only your children but the rest of the world that you have not managed to learn how to be responsible for yourself, you are reinforcing that fact to your children. It is the very definition of the welfare nanny state the communists in congress would so love to create that there is some super-entity somewhere that will handle all these unpleasant tasks for you, like being a parent, having a job, getting health insurance, paying your bills, and lust generally being a responsible adult.

I will go so far as to say that I find it incomprehensible how any self-respecting American would even WANT this level of someone else's involvement in their life. It disgusts me that there are so many people who are either unable or unwilling to accept any responsibility whatsoever for their own condition and are perfectly content to let others do everything for them.

I guess it comes down to the "equality of opportunity" vs. "equality of condition". What Obama-lama-ding-dong's supporters want is some sort of bleary-eyed Utopia where everyone is the same, everyone is equal and we all stroll blindly along hand-in-hand singing "We Are the World". Everyone living in a carbon-neutral urban highrise, driving a Prius, recycling and composting with our thermostats on 85 in the summer and 65 in the winter, growing organic gardens on green roofs and gazing lovingly in doe-eyed adoration at The Anointed One as He in his all-knowing power caters to their existence from cradle to grave. I DON'T THINK SO!!!!

I prefer plan B- where the federal government actually follows the principles and ideals of our founding fathers, as laid out in the Constitution. There aren't many in Washington who act like they are even aware that precious document exists, but I assure you it does. The federal government exists to protect national security and uphold our bill of rights- period. Here's a link, in case any of you have forgotten what they are.... It really is that simple, folks.

I want the government out of my refrigerator. I do not want their hand on my thermostat. I do not want them in my car. I absolutely do not want them in my children's school. I do not want them in my gun cabinet. I do not want them in my doctor's office. I sure as hell do not want them in my checkbook, nor do I want them in my 401k. I do not want them in my computer. I do not want them in my bedroom.

I want them at the borders of this country. I want them ZEALOUSLY defending the rights of every single US citizen to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I want them protecting and furthering the hopes and dreams of our founding fathers that this may be a nation limited by nothing. Where an individual's success is bounded by nothing other than their God-given talents and a drive to make the absolute best possible outcome for themselves.

Obama's Betrayals Can Unite Us All

For months I contemplated the idea of discovering the one common denominator that could unite all Americans regardless of our persuasions and backgrounds. It was definitely a struggle considering the vast amount of research that kept leading me back to our differences. But along the way, I did notice that our showcased divisions were simply by an unscrupulous design.

Continually and consistently pitting us against each other – ‘haves’ versus ‘have-nots’, liberals versus conservatives, and so on – is actually due to politicians who seek power over a divided people, for in division we are weak. Many leaders have systematically divided the masses in order to manipulate the transfer of power from the people to the government. When we are distracted by our differences – politically, spiritually, financially, etc. – we fail to clearly see the looming big picture that will ultimately affect us all.

Barack Obama’s portrayed beliefs assert that the citizens of this country must sacrifice for the betterment of the collective. However, he manipulates our differences in order to divide the American people into groups – divide and conquer. But there is one important detail that Obama has definitely miscalculated. He banked on the notion that the collective was made up of enough faithfully blind followers that would implement his every wish and command. Instead he has painstakingly realized that regardless of the alluring bait dangling in front of us, we are a collection of individuals capable of evaluating and deducing from our own perspectives. And throughout Obama’s tactics to divide our nation, he has betrayed many of these groups.

Obama betrayed veterans when he proposed that service-related injuries be charged to their private insurances. He betrayed police officers when he proposed a major cut in the funding to the families of slain officers and when without knowing the facts, he stated that they acted “stupidly” in the arrest of Harvard Professor Gates. He betrayed postal workers when he implied that they were inefficient and lacked the necessary skills to succeed. He betrayed the fiscally conservative when he championed a pork-filled stimulus plan and embarked on a record setting spending spree. He has betrayed the Christians when he insisted that Georgetown University conceal any symbols or writings that represented Jesus Christ. He betrayed the Jews when Israeli’s Chief of Staff received an unwelcoming reception at the White House and when he awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson. He has betrayed gays and lesbians when he promised to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act but has failed to do so. He betrayed the employees of insurance companies by reflecting them as greedy and subject to investigation. And most surprisingly, he betrayed the liberals when he flip-flopped on his insistence of a government-run option within the Health Care Reform bill.

There is no doubt that I have missed many groups, and my sincere apologies to those who have been omitted. But based upon Obama’s accumulative actions, it is now readily apparent that we actually do have something in common, despite all of our differences, in which we can unite. It must also be said that Americans are strongest when we identify ourselves as individuals first. And as such, we should stand united as the one common denominator for the collective can be summed up as follows: Sooner or later, Barack Obama will have betrayed us all. So if one’s allegiance incorrectly leads you to believe that he eventually won’t betray you as well, it is undoubtedly only a matter of time.

Will Politicians Use Universal Health Care Coverage?

Let me stress that this has been floating around the internet, and I don't know if this encounter actually took place this way, on ABC. So please take it with a grain of salt. That said, it doesn't matter if the exchange really took place this way. The fact remains that Obama, and the Washington elite will not be forced to take the same health care coverage as the rest of us. Do you really think they will be waiting weeks to see the doctor? Or months to get much needed surgery? Nope, they will still the the best treatment available, at our expense.

On "ABC-TV" (better known as the All Barack Channel) during the network special on health care, Obama was asked:

"Mr President, will you and your family give up your current health care program, and join the new universal health care program that the rest of us will be on?"

There was a stony silence as Obama ignored the question, and chose not to answer it.

In addition, a number of senators were asked the same question, and their response was "We will think about it."

And they did. It was announced today on the news that the "Kennedy health care bill" was written into the new health care reform initiative, insuring that congress will be 100% exempt from universal health care coverage.

So this great new health care plan that is good for you and I, is not good enough for Obama, his family, or congress? We, the American public, need to stop this proposed legislation, ASAP. It is wrong that we are forced to accept universal health care, while the Washington elite continue on with their solid gold health care coverage. They are servants of the people, not lords and ladies to be lavished with tax payer dollars, and luxuries not available to the rest of us.

Yay! Obama Lied Again! You Will Get Taxed!!!

President Obama may have to raise taxes to pay for public health care and the growing deficit, an eventuality that administration officials touched lightly on Sunday as they promoted an economy emerging from recession.

With an expected deficit next year of $1.8 trillion, and spending still being planned for a $1 trillion, 10-year health care reform, officials say something will have to be done to prevent further erosion of the economy.

"We will not get this economy back on track, recovery will be not strong and sustained, unless we ... can convince the American people that we're going to have the will to bring these deficits down once recovery is firmly established," Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said on ABC's "This Week."

Asked point blank whether it was right to suggest it is a matter of when, not if, taxes will be raised, Geithner responded, "It is absolutely right."

Not if, but when... Yes, despite all his campaign promises to not raise your taxes, here we are, 8 months into the first year of his presidency, and we learn that was a lie, he will indeed raise our taxes. Feeling stupid for voting for Obama yet? Not me, I wanted Romney.

Listen America, you have to learn a hard lesson, Democrats tax and spend, it's sort of that "thang," it's what they do. As of late, Republicans haven't been a heck of a lot better. If you are sick of paying taxes, if you are sick of the disgusting speed at which the Government is growing, then you need to do some hard research before you vote. Research doesn't mean the opinion page of your newspaper, ads on TV, or watching CNN. Research means looking into a candidates voting record, into their past dealing in and out of politics, and really getting to know the person running. In this way, you can find someone that is truly fiscally conservative, and get them elected. Tax and spend, needs to end.

LDS (Mormon) More Politically Conservative Than Any Other Faith

SALT LAKE CITY -- This most likely won't surprise you. Most Mormons are Republican.

The Pew Forum U.S. Religious Landscape Survey says 65 percent of LDS Church members are either Republican or they lean that way, which is a higher percentage than any other religious group.

Republican or right-leaning, compared to 33 percent of Catholics, 41 percent of
members of what are called "Mainline Churches" and 25 percent of "Other
Christians."

According to the study, 22 percent of Mormons are Democrats or left-leaning, and 8 percent say they're independent. But some Democrats see 22 percent as a big jump from the ‘80s.

That's pretty interesting stuff. Still, I wonder how anyone that considers themselves religious, can be liberal. How can they affiliate themselves with an ideology that supports abortion. Is killing babies Christ-like? How can they affiliate themselves with an ideology that supports gay marriage? Tell me, where in the Bible does it talk about gay marriage being ok? It doesn't, but it does mention, multiple times, men marrying women, and women marrying men (Gen. 34:9, Ex. 21:10, Deut. 7:3, etc.). It does not talk about Adam and Steve. How can they affiliate themselves with a party that takes away personal freedoms, punishes hard work, and pushes dependence on Government and others?

I would hope that most religious people, that are not republican, are still conservative. I would hope that those people that consider themselves liberal, don't really understand what that implies, and that they are more conservative than they realize.

Obama's Approval and Trustworthiness Continue to Fall

Trust in President Barack Obama and his Democratic allies to identify the right solutions to problems facing the country has dropped off significantly since March, according to a new Public Strategies Inc./POLITICO poll.

Just as Obama intensifies his efforts to fulfill a campaign promise and reach an agreement with Congress on health care reform, the number of Americans who say they trust the president has fallen from 66 percent to 54 percent. At the same time, the percentage of those who say they do not trust the president has jumped from 31 to 42.

The president’s party has taken a similar hit since the last Public Trust Monitor poll, with only 42 percent of respondents saying that they trust the Democratic Party, compared with 52 percent who do not. The party’s numbers are nearly the inverse of March’s survey, in which 52 percent said they trusted Democrats and 42 percent did not.

Obama’s personal approval rating has fallen below 60 percent in a number of recent major polls, and according to a Washington Post/ABC News survey out Monday, support for the president’s leadership on several key issues has fallen below 50 percent.

But whatever the problems faced by Obama and his party, they still earn higher approval ratings than other Washington leaders or the Republican Party, according to the Public Trust Monitor poll. And the loss in trust in Democrats did not correspond with a gain for the GOP: Trust in Republicans fell from 40 percent in March to 36 percent in the recent survey.

As I said a couple of days ago, the sparkle has faded, the rust is beginning to show, and these disapproval numbers will continue to climb. Why couldn't these people have just listened before the election, to the kind of man Obama is. We could have avoided all of this. John McCain wasn't exactly the pick of the litter, but at least he isn't socialist, at least he has experience, at least he is certifiably American.

It's a shame the Republican Party has failed to take advantage of this. It is almost as if they want to lose. I mean really, what an opportunity they had against Obama, with all the evidence against him in the campaign, being a socialist, palling around with terrorists, hate mongers, etc. But they couldn't come up with a candidate or a strategy to take advantage of that? They couldn't find someone better than Obama? They couldn't take advantage of the years as the majority in congress, to gain respect, trust and momentum? How inept are the GOP leaders?

It looks as if the Republican Party is dying, and unless someone jumps in to save it, it collapse completely, leading the way for a new party, hopefully, a more conservative one.
