Pastor Jeff Fugate of Clays Mill Road Baptist Church in Lexington is known for opposing the Governor on expanded gambling; Now you can add Holiday Tree to that list.
Recently, the Governor dubbed the State’s traditional Christmas tree a “holiday” tree to be, as he says, inclusive. Now, Pastor Fugate invites you to “Christmas Caroling at the Capitol”. The event is expected to draw thousands to the Capitol to take a stand for Christ which is why we celebrate Christmas.
The Governor said, "What is important is to remember what this time of year is all about — family and caring for those less fortunate." That is not what Christmas is all about though these things are included – Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus!
