Has Obama hit the end of the honeymoon at 60 days in office? According to a new Zogby poll, Obama has hit 50% in his latest job-approval polls. The Boston Herald covers the details offered by the pollster:
Pollster John Zogby said his poll out today will show Americans split on the president’s performance. He said the score factors out to “about 50-50.”
Some polls show Obama coasting with a 65 percent job approval, but not in Zogby’s tally.
“The numbers are going down,” Zogby told the Herald. “It’s not because of the gaffes, but a combination of high expectations and that things aren’t moving fast enough with the economy.”
So you say, well ok, but that's Zogby, his polls always swing. Well, perhaps, but over the last few weeks, Scott Rasmussen has repeatedly shown a rapid rate in dissatisfaction over Obama’s performance, and a smaller but still significant decline in approval. Yesterday’s job-approval rating on the daily tracking poll has Obama at 56%, that’s down from the high 60's at the end of January. Also, the gap between strong approval and strong disapproval has gone from over 30 points to just 5.

Obama's approval rating is steadily dropping for a number of reasons, but I'll try to compartmentalize them into easy to understand libtard approved bullet points.
1. Economic Stupidity
Not only has Obama used this crisis to pass his ungodly (un)economic stimulus package, but he has never actually addressed the real problem in this economic crisis. The real problem is that free markets go up and down, and businesses that make bad decisions go out of business, they don't get money from the government to continue making bad decisions. Obama, in all his glory, continues to blame this crisis on education, health care, and energy. He claims that these things caused the crisis, and through these things we will get out of the crisis. That is like carrying a man with a bullet wound into the emergency room, leave the bullet would open and attempt to convince the doctor that the person needs breast implants, a new prostetic hips, and lasik eye surgery. STUPID, and the people know it.
2. Foreign Policy
Obama has done an excellent job of offending our allies, and reaching out to our enemies. A collection of DVD's was an excellent gift idea to a visiting prime minister. Also, it seems peculiar that Obama has suddenly adopted many of the "failed policies" of Bush in Iraq and Afghanistan. STUPID and the people know it!
3. Appointments
How many appointments have dropped out because of simple things like...o...TAXES! Obama really seems to have great judgment, maybe experience is overrated after all. Obama's judgment seems to be making up for his lack of experience.
Lastly, the American people aren't stupid and can tell that Obama seems to be eternally in campaign mode. During an election it's ok for a candidate to smile and make light of situations to get gain public popularity. It works when the candidate is talking about another person in office and when the candidate has zero control over the situation. However, when a candidate is elected the public expects him to be serious when talking about serious subjects, the campaign is over and its time to get to work. Obama has repeatedly made light of the economic crisis when asked about how things are going, to the point that one journalist actually asked Obama if he was "punch drunk". Sorry Obama, it works when you're a candidate, it makes you look like a jack ass when your the president. Unfortunately....you're the president.

The right wing took a successful economy, held it for six solid years, and then ran it into the ground. Just who's stupid?
If you made any stock investments seven weeks ago they might be looking pretty good right now.

So setting a definite withdrawal date for Iraq is somehow a step backward?
3. Appointments
Obama's own vetting process revealed all the tax issues. It's better to push them out yourself then have what happened when the reds had control - YOU LET THEM IN AND THEY COMMIT CRIMINAL ACTS AS MEMBERS OF YOUR ADMINISTRATION.
There have been EIGHT -- count 'em EIGHT - Bush administration officials SO FAR that have been indicted and found guilty of criminal activity.
You guys are as relevant as the Whigs right now - and for good reason.
I wonder if you even read my comment, and if you did you need to read a little slower and try to comprehend my points, not dodge my arguments and blame everything on Bush. I'll be the first person to say he was not perfect, but I must say he's looking pretty good right now.
My first point, economic stupidity, referred directly to Obama taking advantage of the economic crisis and the American people disagreeing with his actions. How is Bush relevant? Did Bush and the evil republicans force Obama to use the economic hardship the country is currently facing to pass his pork package? No, and blaming Bush does nothing but miss the point....which is surprisingly the issue I referred to in my first bullet point, missing the real issue. You and Obama have a lot in common.

That seems to be the consensus among the generals, chiefs of staff, soldiers on the ground, the Iraqi government, and every other person who has actually studied the situation and understands the region. But hey, Obama has GREAT judgment and liberals seems to know what is best....(sigh)
About the "EIGHT -- count 'em EIGHT" convicted Bush administration officials found guilty "SO FAR", just for fun I looked up how many Clinton era convictions occurred and was surprised when I found this:
"47 individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton machine were convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes with 33 of these occurring during the Clinton administration itself. There were in addition 61 indictments or misdemeanor charges. 14 persons were imprisoned. A key difference between the Clinton story and earlier ones was the number of criminals with whom he was associated before entering the White House." (http://www.prorev.com/legacy.htm)
I know that Clinton is not Obama, exactly the same as Bush is not Obama, but I did find that piece of information interesting. Perhaps Obama learned from Clinton and is vetting more rigorously, perhaps his potential appointments are only the exception, the "one bad apple", or perhaps Obama surrounds himself with people of good judgment rather than experience (like "I don't need to pay my taxes" judgment). Only time will tell what happens with Obama, but it's looking grim at this point.
Maybe conservatives aren't as bad as you think they are, at least in number of convictions over the past two presidencies.
