Pig with Lipstick...

By Chappy Conservative

I have an observation of Obama I would like to share with everyone. I believe Obama is what you call a "Sore Loser". When 75% of the media was covering him, his message of Hope and Change was kind, polite, and quite pleasant. When Obama has days to prepare for a speech he comes of as brilliant, and an excellent orator. When all the polls show him up by an average of 5 points, he laughs, shoots a few hoops and shows the American people why he is a nice guy.

When Obama is down, he gets nasty. Please read on.

"If a man has any greatness in him, it comes to light, not in one flamboyant hour, but in the ledger of his daily work." — Beryl Markham, English adventurer and author (1902-1986). Obama has his big prepared, teleprompter laden speeches in which he gives, for a flamboyant hour, soaring rhetoric about high and lofty ideals. Unfortunately, it is his daily ledger which will ultimately condemn him. People forget about the flamboyant speeches and stick to the daily ledger to judge a man.

A few of my favorite statements by Obama from his person ledger:

"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK." (Why should we care what other countries think...and which countries are you referring to?)

"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it."

"And it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to their constitutional rights as enumerated in the Second and First Amendments..." ("Guaranteed rights" I might add)

"It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

Today, Obama can add one more to his list:

"You can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig." (Referring to Gov. Palin's joke at the 2008 RNC about the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull...lipstick)

I would love to explain why this was a bad choice of words for all of you, but, unfortunately, I think that it speaks for itself. Make your own judgment call on this one.

Obama continued to say, after the pig-lipstick remark, that if you wrap up a bad fish in new paper (like when you get meat from the butcher) it's still a bad fish. He was referring to the GOP's HORRIBLE POLICIES not to Palin's lipstick comment. Who cares!!! The ugly white trash guys at the GOP convention were wearing pins that said things like "Hottie for VP" and "Hooters loves Palin" can it get more sexist than that??? And that was from her own party! So, despite that you all think it was about lipstick and sexism, Obama was correcting her that just because she's a woman who has stolen his campaign slogan of "Change" doesn't change their policies. It's still a pig, it's still a bad fish. He calls it like he sees it. That's what I like about him. Cheers! I'm voting for Obama! Oh, btw, I'm a woman, and He hasn't lost my vote.

Your right, he did say that. But it was still a back handed comment, disguised as "an old political saying." There is a reason he paused after saying "you can put lipstick on a pig." The audience roared with laughter, because they both knew what he was talking about.

"The ugly white trash guys at the GOP convention were wearing pins that said things like "Hottie for VP" and "Hooters loves Palin" can it get more sexist than that???"

Why yes, it can get more sexist. The left has been attacking Sarah by saying she can't do a good job as VP, because she has a family to take care of. Why didn't they say that to Joe Biden after his wife died? Now that's sexism. Oh wait, what about Obama not vetting Hillary Clinton?

"Obama was correcting her that just because she's a woman who has stolen his campaign slogan of "Change" doesn't change their policies."

She hasn't stolen his slogan, so much as finally fulfilled it. She is a true conservative, that has fought against government corruption. He is the run of the mill liberal, touting change, but preaching the same old leftist agenda.

That's a shame that you are still voting for him. I hope you aren't too upset when he loses.

Lets just get one thing straight, the entire political world as we know it was aware that Palin made the statement "the difference between a pitbull and a hockey mom...lipstick." It was all but common knowledge to any person who follows politics, even slightly. It was all that most people remembered from Palin's speech at the RNC.

So, naturally when a person then references the McCain-Palin ticket with "lipstick", Palin immediately comes to mind, whether the person had any intend to portray to the audience they were referring to Palin.

Don't kid yourself, Obama is very bright and was WELL aware what he was saying and how it would come off to the audience. He does not cover his butt by saying he was "actually" referring to McCain's policies. No rationale person is going to allow Obama to make a statement like that, back-pedal, and say it meant something else.

Obama actually took a swipe at both Palin and McCain in his two statements. The first statement referred to "Lipstick", while the second statement referred to "Old". I have to admit, it was a very good way of attacking the other ticet at the same time, however, woman don't like being called pigs by men (I thought you'd understand that...being a woman and all).

Obama could have said that exact statement two months ago and nobody would've batted an eye. Unfortunately, whether we like it or not, Palin changes things and is not subject to the same rules as men. Obama needs to figure that out because a lot of women are watching who take offense.
