I also found this interesting article on drilling in AnWAR. It lists some great reasons to drill there. For instance, most people aren't even aware that it would only take 2,000 acres to drill in Alaska. Alaska is freaking huge, 2,000 acres is like a postage stamp. 2,000 acres for a billion barrels a day, sure, drill away!Anyway, here it is (link).

Pretty soon everything will cause cancer and global warming. Using your cell phone may cause global warming. Stupid liberals.. just let us drill oil.
About the global warming thing: Our large industrial footprint does have an effect somewhat, but it is mainly due to natural celestial mechanics. See this link from the University of Minnesota for a summary on Milankovitch cycles and the precession of the equinoxes, which happens every 19,000 and 23,000 years -
