Gore likens fight against 'climate change' to battle with Nazis

Speaking in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by The Times, Mr Gore said: “Winston Churchill aroused this nation in heroic fashion to save civilisation in World War II.”

Mr Gore admitted that it was difficult to persuade the public that the threat from climate change was as urgent as the threat from Nazi Germany.

“The level of awareness and concern among populations has not crossed the threshold where political leaders feel that they must change.

“The only way politicians will act is if awareness raises to a level to make them feel that it’s a necessity.”

(...)

He said future generations would put one of two questions to today’s adults.

“It will either be ’what were you thinking, didn’t you see the North Pole melting before your eyes, didn’t you hear what the scientists were saying?’ Or they will ask ’how is it you were able to find the moral courage to solve the crisis which so many said couldn’t be solved?’.”

Gore likens fight against 'climate change' to battle with Nazis...

Oh dear. Do you know why the people of the world don't liken the Nazis to global warming? Because global warming isn't killing millions of Jews, and taking over Poland. Do you know why global warming isn't a concern for most people? Because there is no solid proof out there to convince them of it, nor is it warm out there, June was freaking cold here in Utah, and elsewhere. Al Gore, you are a money grubbing, chubby-wubby, jiggly-wiggly, exploitative piece of human excrement.

This comparison is absurd at best, damaging at worst. Either way you're right "global warming isn't killing millions of Jews, and taking over Poland."

-yet. (well not so much the invasion of poland)

But how far can you bury your head in the sand?

From a new joint study by NASA and Univ of Wash.

"In 2003, 62 percent of the ocean’s ice cover was older, thicker ice, with 38 percent in seasonal layers, the researchers found. Five years later, 68 percent of the ice cap was made up of seasonal ice. The amount of ice replaced in the winter hasn’t been enough in recent years to compensate for the loss in the summer, which leads to more open water, which in turn absorbs heat, warming the ocean and further melting the ice, the researchers said."

Why you hate science so much when you trust it in almost every other aspect of your daily life?
