Perhaps I was a little harsh on Johnny Boy, and his liberal leanings. Even though he seems to be an enviromentalist tree hugger, the Washington Post reports: "Sen. John McCain called yesterday for an end to the federal ban on offshore oil drilling, offering an aggressive response to high gasoline prices and immediately drawing the ire of environmental groups that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has courted for months."
Good for you John. If you are going to flip your position, I am glad it was a liberal one. This issue was tailormade for you! If you can promise to drill, refine and explore domestically, in an environmentally sound way, the American public WILL get behind you, and you can ride that issue all the way to the White House.
