Ted Nugent Calls Obama a Communist

During a recent interview with Ted Nugent, Royal Flush Magazine asked him what he thought of the President. Here was his response:

"I think that Barack Hussein Obama should be put in jail. It is clear that Barack Hussein Obama is a communist. Mao Tse Tung lives and his name is Barack Hussein Obama. This country should be ashamed. I wanna throw up."

God bless you Ted Nugent.

You know, funny thing. When Natalie Maines said she was ashamed that Bush was from Texas, the right wing went up in flames, Dixie Chicks' records were burned, they were labeled as traitors and worse, and they even received death threats. You've even mentioned them yourself.

And yet here we are, with Nugent saying worse things about Obama, and you don't sound outraged at all.

Do you see where that might look a little... I don't know... hypocritical?

I'm just curious.

It's not funny or hypocritical. We are allowed to agree with, or disagree with whomever we want. We didn't agree Natalie's statements, so we boycotted the Dixie Chicks. We do agree with Ted Nugent, so we support him. It is a typical liberal strategy to pull the hypocrite card, by making things so black and white. I.e., "you disagree with this, so how can you support this?" No, sorry, they are not mutually exclusive.

A boycott is one thing. Death threats and branding them a traitor seems like another. It's a typical conservative strategy (lately, anyway) to downplay the overwrought reaction they had to whatever the subject, saying "we disagree with..." when they're called for their ridiculous, wild-eyed comments.

We have Ted Nugent, in the same country where Ms Maines made her comment, not just saying he's ashamed to be from the same state, but that the President is a Communist and a criminal. How are the two actions not equal? By your logic, Ted Nugent is now a traitor and unamerican.

Again, they are not equal, because the comments are about different people. We respected George Bush, and agreed with a lot of his policies. We don't always respect Obama's policies however. Thus, we boycotted the Dixie chicks because we did not agree with their statements. We do not boycott Nugent because we do agree with his statements. This is not hypocrisy, this is giving and withdrawing support where due, it is a common practice by all people, perfectly logical, perfectly ethical, and undeserving of any further explanation. At this point further discussion would simply devolve into a discussion of semantics, regarding hypocrisy, etc.

How is this blog real? It's a joke, right? America isn't actually full of so many idiots like you, Nick, is it?

You conservatives needs to understand how the rest of the world views you. And if you dare try to play the "We're AMERICAN, we don't care what the rest of the world thinks of us!" you obviously don't understand politics.

The conservative view is, Hey, America can do whatever it wants, but if another country does whatever it wants and we don't like it we'll invade invade invade!

I would say that the rest of the world hates you conservatives, but that would imply that they give two shits about you.
