I think that liberals want to be "everything not conservative." For example, if conservatives favor religion, liberals will disfavor religion; if conservatives favor traditional values, liberals will disfavor traditional values; and the list goes on and on. Conservatives stand for something, liberals take the opposite. Thus, if Bush was considered a bad speaker, the liberals will naturally want to portray Obama as a brilliant orator, when in actuality he can't speak a word without his best bud - the teleprompter.
